Runevale Idle
Last updated: 29 August 2026
Runevale Idle is an idle role-playing game for Android, developed and published by Mantiska. This policy explains how the app handles information. It applies to the Runevale Idle Android application only.
If you do not sign in: none.
The game is fully playable this way, and it is the default. Runevale Idle does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, or photos. There is no account, no profile, and no leaderboard entry unless you choose to create one.
If you sign in for cloud backup, the app receives from your Google account:
It also stores a copy of your game save: your character's levels, experience, gold, inventory, equipment, quest and collection progress, and settings. It contains nothing about you personally beyond what you have done in the game.
If you also choose a username, a separate public profile is created. What that contains, and who can see it, is described in its own section below.
There is no analytics service, no advertising network, and no third-party tracking software in the app, whether you sign in or not.
Cloud backup exists so that your character survives uninstalling the game, switching phone, or losing your device. It is switched off until you choose to sign in, and the game does not ask you to.
It identifies which backup is yours, so that signing in on a new phone returns your character rather than someone else's. That is the only thing it is used for. It is not used to contact you, and there is no mailing list.
In Google Cloud Firestore in the europe-north1 region (Finland), inside the European Union. It is encrypted in transit and encrypted at rest by Google. Google Firebase acts as the data processor and its handling is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Only your own signed-in account. This is enforced by server-side rules, not only by the app, so nobody else playing the game can reach your backup.
Your save backup is not the same thing as your public profile. They are stored separately, and the public one holds only the short list of items described below.
For as long as your account exists, so that it is there when you need it. It is overwritten each time the game backs up.
Your data is never sold, rented, or shared. It is not used for advertising, and it is not used to build a profile of you for any purpose other than the in-game one you choose to create.
This is the part of the game where information about you is visible to other players. It is optional, it is off until you act, and turning it on is a single deliberate step.
Signing in for cloud backup publishes nothing. Nothing about you is readable by anyone else until you open Settings and claim a username. That action is what creates your public profile and puts you on the leaderboards.
Your public profile contains:
Any other player can view this, and your username and these figures appear on the leaderboards. Assume everything in that list is visible to everyone.
Your email address, your Google account details, and your save backup are not part of your public profile and are never shown to other players.
Usernames are 2 to 12 characters, must be unique, and are checked against a list of terms that are not permitted. Your first change is free; after that a name can be changed once every 30 days.
Names you have previously used stay reserved to your account rather than being released, so that nobody else can take a name you were known by and be mistaken for you.
Please do not use your real name, your email address, or anything else that identifies you outside the game. A username is public and visible to anyone playing.
If a username or profile is offensive, impersonates someone, or shows impossible scores, you can report it from that player's profile page. Reporting stores your account identifier, the reported player's account identifier and username, the reason you picked, and the time — so the report can be reviewed and acted on.
Reports are readable only by the developer. They are not visible to other players, and the player you report is not told who reported them.
Reports are kept for as long as needed to act on them and to recognise repeat problems, and are deleted when no longer needed.
Usernames and profiles are reviewed when reported. A name that breaks the rules may be changed or removed, and an account may be taken off the leaderboards or deleted entirely. There is no automated profiling, and no decision here is made without a person looking at it.
Deleting your cloud backup also deletes your public profile, removing you from every leaderboard immediately. See "Deleting your data" below.
You can delete your cloud backup at any time, permanently and immediately, from inside the game:
Settings → Cloud backup → Delete cloud backup
This removes the stored copy of your save and your public profile, taking you off the leaderboards straight away. It leaves the character on your device untouched. It cannot be undone, so export your save first if you want to keep it (Settings → Save data → Export save to file).
One thing is deliberately kept: the record reserving your username, which holds your account identifier. It stays so that nobody can claim a name you were known by and be mistaken for you, and so that the name is still yours if you come back. If you want that removed as well, email the address below and ask — a full account deletion removes it along with everything else.
Signing out is not the same as deleting — signing out leaves your backup and your profile in place so you can sign back in later.
If you cannot open the game, email runevale.support@gmail.com with the subject Account deletion, from the Google account you signed in with. Requests are handled within 30 days. Full instructions are on the account deletion page.
If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, export it, and object to how it is processed. The lawful basis for this processing is your consent, given by choosing to sign in — and, separately, by choosing a username — and withdrawn at any time by deleting your cloud backup.
Two of these you can exercise yourself, without contacting anyone:
For anything else, email runevale.support@gmail.com.
Your progress is written to a save file in the app's private storage area on your device. Other apps cannot read it. Uninstalling the app removes this data from your device.
If you have signed in for cloud backup, a copy also exists on the server as described above, and uninstalling the app does not remove that copy — deleting it is a separate action, described in "Deleting your data".
Android includes a system-level backup feature that can copy app data to your own Google Drive account so that your progress returns if you reinstall the app or set up a new phone. Runevale Idle participates in this standard feature.
This backup is performed by Android itself, not by the app. The data goes to a private area of your personal Google account, is not visible to the developer, and is covered by Google's Privacy Policy. You can turn Android backup on or off in your device settings.
Runevale Idle is distributed through Google Play. Google collects certain information about app installations, and may collect crash reports, independently of this app and under its own privacy policy. The developer may see aggregate statistics such as install counts and anonymous crash reports through the Google Play Console, but cannot identify individual players from them.
The app also uses Google Play Integrity, through Firebase App Check, to confirm that requests to the game's servers come from a genuine, unmodified copy of the app. This is an anti-cheating and anti-abuse measure. It checks the app and the device, not you, and it does not collect anything about you personally.
Runevale Idle is not directed at children under 13, or under 16 in countries where local law sets that age, and we do not knowingly collect data from children in that group.
The game itself can be played with no data collected at all, and with nothing shown to other players. Usernames and public profiles are optional and require signing in with a Google account.
If a child has signed in for cloud backup or chosen a username, email runevale.support@gmail.com and the account, its public profile, its username reservation and all its data will be deleted.
This policy will be updated before any version that changes what is stored is released, the date at the top will change, and the app's Data safety information on Google Play will be updated to match. Significant changes are also noted in the game's patch notes.
Features that are not currently part of the app — guilds, chat between players, in-app purchases — would each be described here in plain terms before they ship: what is stored, why, and whether it is optional.
